About
Jane Eastwood

I'm a trainee transactional analysis (TA) psychotherapist, endorsed to practice as a trainee and offering accessibly-priced face-to-face therapy to individuals*.
I am a student/trainee member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA), the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA), and the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA).

I know you'll want to know more about therapy with me. I hope the following is useful.
I listen - really listen, and I'll create a welcoming, safe space for you. One of the super important central features of humanistic therapy (TA is a humanistic therapy) is that the therapist has unconditional positive regard for each and every client. Put simply, this means that I will always be kind and respectful. I won't judge.
TA has lots of ways to consider how people interact with each other, how they (consciously and unconsciously) regard themselves, and how ways of thinking and being that might have helped people at some stage in their life, can make them feel stuck or find themselves in situations that they don't want to be in.
As your therapist, I'll helps you explore (at a pace and in a way that is helpful to you) what these are, where why and when they arise, and how you can choose and practice (lots of practice!) different ways of being and thinking to feel less stuck and find the flexibility to make the changes that you seek.
* via Basis Therapy Services, but supported and supervised as a placement with my training organisation, Elan Training and Development.
